Not being stamped M14 made them legal in Maryland as well as New Jersey. The receivers were forged by BULA Forge. It is my understanding they were made before James River Armory moved to Va. JRA's initial M14 production used LRB marked receivers with surplus USGI kits and then moved on to 7.62mm marked receivers to save money. The first receivers marked James River Armory or Rock-Ola were produced for JRA by Bula Forge and Machine and then Bula Defense Systems. Sgt USMC 1966-1972.
