I had a pr with that same stock and now have an LR with the thumbhole stock. They are both better than that v2 stock. For elk, I prefer 290-350 gr. copper/well bonded jacketed lead bullets that group well out of my Accura V2. For deer, I'm okay with 250-285 grs.. Even with marginal blood trails over the years I've only lost one animal and that was due to a low hit (turns out that somehow the scope got bumped in transit).Flush with the breech face. If it sticking out it can interfere with the breech plug. If it is recessed, inset, you may be more likely to get loose, leaky primers. I shoot an CVA Accura. I got some small plastic tubes with screw tops off the intenet. One tube has 110 gr BH 209, the other a "Barns 250 gr "T-EZ", and two, 209 primers (in case I drop one) I bring a dozen of these on a hunt, and carry 5 or 6 in the field.
